1..2..3.. Quilling Recipe Challenge - Quilled Scene

Good Day Reader :)

Off late I'm not at all active over here, I am quite busy with my new assignment that I have opted for a Techie in me :). So not finding much time for blogging. But I am active with quilling. You will see those works in my future posts soon.

There is a quilling challenge hosted in India by Indian Quilling Challenge Group. I wanted to participate in that and at the same time I have one of my friend's house warming ceremony coming in. So I decided to do a quilled house scene.

I have used beehive quilling technique to do this. Here is the outcome.

There are two sets of 1 2 3s here. Let's list out them.

Quilling Elements

1 width of paper - I have used 5mm paper in entire project

2 quilling technique - Border is done with crimped paper strip and rest of the scene with bee hive quilling technique.

3 colours in main elements - all the main elements in the scene are done with only 3 colour

House : Black, Brick Red and Yellow

Husband : Brown, Black and Peach colour for Skin (Off course I have used black in hair and eyes)
Wife : Pink, Purple and Peach colour for Skin (Off course I have used black in hair and eyes)

Flowers : Pink, Purple and Green

Bird: Pink, Purple and Black.

Picture Elements

  • 1 House
  • 2 Characters - Man (Husband and Wife)  and a Bird
  • 3 Flowers

As this is a house warming ceremony a wish tag has been included. a Birdy  wishing Husband and Wife on their new house "Congratulations on your new nest".

It took around 8 hours for me to finish this completely. These days with too many things in life I am getting a bit of time over weekends only for quilling.
I hope you liked the scene. Please do comment.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Quilling :)
