Experiments with 3D quilling - Quilled Bicycle

Good Day Reader :)

In one of my blog about My Inspiration towards Quilling I had mentioned I wanted to do 3D quilling after seeing few posts from other quillers.

I have tried something.. Quilled Bicycle. I have a friend at my work place who used to ride Bicycle on his way to office. But our office was shifted to newer and farther location so he couldn't continue with it.

So I thought I will make something for him which remembers his rides... so the Quilled Bicycle to decorate his desk was the outcome.

After this I have tried Miniature Flower pots, you will see them in my next post.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Quilling :)

Quilled Love Card & My First ever participation to quilling challenge

Good Day Reader,

As Valentine's Day fever is on everywhere, I was just going through quilling blogs for everybody's creation for Valentine's day.  I saw this - Indian Quilling Challenge Group. I thought of taking part into this, so checked for rules. Rules were pretty simple, Join the FB group, Post your creations in their group album. It should not be from your old creations and should have been done after the challenge theme was announced.

I had this Long Distance Love card created for my shop. I thought I will participate in the challenge.

Here are the pictures

I Don't know the techniques yet to apply glue when paper stripes are pasted at edges like above. I am yet to learn that.

I liked the card. I am planning to make it more colorful. Please provide your suggestion in comments.

Thanks for stopping  and Happy Quilling :)

Quilled Boy and Girl cards

Good Day Reader...

It was my sister's birthday and I had to do something very special. I had started learning quilling recently that time, so I thought I will make a quilled card which has two girls playing in park - One is myself and other one is her.

Pictures below

Card Under Progress
One to the left is her and to the right with flower in hand is me :)
(As usual pics are not good. I have already sent this card to her so couldn't take better picture now)

I used paper quilling crimper to give special effect for the stripes which are used as a grass here.
(see video How to use crimper tool from JK Arts group).

For the frills of the frock  I used tight coiled tear drop shape, coiled with half of the length of stripe.

Though the picture is not good.. I feel I did a good job as a beginner level quiller. The Friendship's day was also nearing. One of my friend has gone out of station and was supposed to arrive on next day. I wanted to surprise my friend with my new learning, so I made below card.

My friend liked it very much and I was happy about my learning.  This is how i started loving quilling and now I am addicted to it and I love this addiction.

Thanks for stopping by though the pictures are not good...

Happy Quilling :)

Who is my Inspiration

Today I was just checking the blogs by Cheryl a paper {life}. It is just awesome and I was just speechless when I saw her 3D quilling pieces.

There are many posts and I couldn't stop myself from checking all of them. They are very pretty and cute.

In one of her blogs she asks who is the inspiration for your work..as you said Cheryl off course other quillers. To name a few.. my first inspiration towards quilling is one of my cousin.. she loves the art and crafts and it seems like its her favorite time pass. I met her for the very first time and she was such a loving person she gave me the cutest earrings from one of her creations(picture below).

Further I was inspired from my favorite quilling blogs a paper {life} and Honey's Quilling.

This is such a lovely art and is so addictive, when is saw the elephanTINA from Cheryl's Blag - a paper {life} I was amazed and i thought that very moment I must learn 3D quilling.

I will post few more from my creations in future posts.. Thanks for stopping by...and

Happy Quilling :)
